Located in Ben Cat Town, one of three urban and industrial hubs of Binh Duong province, and furnished with fully invested infrastructure, Rach Bap Industrial Park has become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors. The efforts and positive development of the industrial park have importantly contributed to building local business environment and socioeconomic development.
Impressive achievements
Rach Bap Industrial Park, established in 2008 and invested by An Dien Industry Joint Stock Company, covers an area of 278.6 ha in the first phase. Launched in a time of world financial crisis and economic recession, it was very hard to draw investment capital into industrial parks.
Mr. Tran Quoc Thai, General Director of An Dien Industry Joint Stock Company, said, “In 2008 - 2012, a very few customers rented land, usually very small in area. Besides, Rach Bap Industrial Park drew fierce competition from neighboring IPs which had more favorable factors in terms of geography, traffic, and industries.”
The world economy started to improve, by seizing good opportunities, An Dien Industry Joint Stock Company strengthened marketing and promotion and introduced more preferential policies. Besides, with positive support from local authorities, from Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and Dau Tieng Rubber Company, land occupancy in the industrial park started to improve.
With incentive policies, well-invested infrastructure, near input supply sources, abundant labor resources and no natural disasters such as floods, storms and earthquakes, many investors have come to Rach Bap Industrial Park, including big investors. Especially, in five years from 2015 to date, land renting in the industrial park has been very exciting.
Up to now, the first phase of the project has been filled 100%, housing 77 investment projects, including 22 domestic projects and 55 foreign projects, with a total registered investment of VND5,421 billion. Tenants are employing over 8,000 workers.
Complete and synchronized infrastructure
Currently, to create a favorable investment environment for investors in Rach Bap Industrial Park, An Dien Industry Joint Stock Company invested in complete and synchronous infrastructure systems to enable tenants to adopt green, clean and effective production and business. In particular, the internal traffic routes have been asphalted according to Vietnamese standards H18-H30. The power is supplied by the 22KV national grid and the water supply system, with a water supply plant with a daily capacity of 7,000 cubic meters in the first phase 1, meets TCVN standards. The wastewater treatment plant, with a daily processing capacity of 6,000 cubic meters, meets QCVN standards and the fire prevention and fighting system, information network, telecommunication services are also fully invested.
At the same time, An Dien Industry Joint Stock Company planned many infrastructure projects beside the industrial park, including management and operation area, trade center, product showrooms, post offices, banks, customs offices to support tenants’ production activities. The 50-ha residential area next to the industrial park was also built to solve housing demands by 25,000 workers.
As for customer care service, An Dien Industry Joint Stock Company - the developer of Rach Bap Industrial Park - is committed to supporting investors to carry out investment and business registration procedures, construction permission, electricity and internet connectivity and worker recruitment free of charge. According to many investors, the land rental in Rach Bap Industrial Park is more competitive than its neighbors.
Green and modern industrial zone in the second phase
Continuing the first phase success of Rach Bap Industrial Park, to meet increasing investment demands for production expansion and economic development, An Dien Industry Joint Stock Company is investing in the second phase by 360 ha to bring the total area of Rach Bap Industrial Park to 638.6 ha. Currently, the company is preparing conditions to welcome investors to invest in building factories.
General Director Tran Quoc Thai said that Rach Bap Industrial Park - Phase 2 was extended from the first phase of synchronous infrastructure, factories, service facilities and good utility services for tenants in addition to a 30-ha expanded residential area for workers in the industrial park.
“To build a green, clean, modern, synchronous and sustainable industrial park, Rach Bap Industrial Park - Phase 2 is ready to welcome businesses to invest in environmentally friendly industries,” he added.
Rach Bap Industrial Park - Phase 2 operation will not only draw domestic and foreign investors, but also serve as a solution to relocate unplanned factories from residential areas. This also facilitates Rach Bap Industrial Park to become a model industrial park in Binh Duong province in particular and in Vietnam in general, thus helping boost economic development, employment, export value and local tax revenue.
