The robust development of Lao Cai province in recent decades has become a magnet to many entrepreneurs and enterprises whose success has adorned the province. Hoa Thinh Hung Co., Ltd, which is led by Director Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai, plays a significant part in that success.

After having graduated from Lao Cai High School No. 1 in 1995, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai spent four years studying economics and international relations in Hanoi. Then, she returned to her hometown for internship and business career with a burning desire to be a successful person in Lao Cai province. After a few years of learning management experience from various companies she worked for, she decided to establish Hoa Thinh Hung Co., Ltd in 2009, which is engaged in logistics and export and import transportation.
In 2010, with a rich source of imported and exported agricultural products, as approved by the government of Lao Cai province, the company built a high-quality agricultural product processing facility in Bac Duyen Hai Industrial Park to increase the value of agricultural products before being exported. In the first years of operation, due to insufficient capital and low processing technology, the company just preserved agricultural products for export. In 2015, it sought partners and invested VND55 billion in a cashew nut processor with a yearly output capacity of more than 3,000 tons. The processing line officially went into operation on May 19, 2017 with a daily output capacity of 15 tons of products. Locating a cashew nut processing facility in Lao Cai province is somewhat strange to many because input supplies are far away and transportation costs are high. But Hoa Thinh Hung Co., Ltd managed to make it and successfully sold its products in China. In 2017-2019, it generated export revenue of more than US$7.7 million (or VND172 billion) and employed 120 local workers. Therefore, in 2018, Director Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai was honorably named among the Top 100 outstanding young entrepreneurs of the country.
Being inspired by initial successes and being aware of development opportunities in Kim Thanh International Border Gate of Lao Cai province, the company boldly invested in a warehousing complex for imports and exports and offices for startups, covering 1.6 ha, including 8,000 square meters of standard warehouses and 1,260 square meters of offices. This has helped create spacious infrastructure in Bac Duyen Hai Industrial Park.
Upholding the spirit of “Startup after startup to succeed together”, she is always ready to accompany young people to start a business together to build a richer and more beautiful Lao Cai. The Startup Office Building, formed together with the Import and Export Warehouse Complex Project built by the company, supported young people to have access to transportation infrastructure at the most reasonable cost to reduce startup difficulties.
In addition to looking for directions to produce and process agricultural products, the company is researching pharmaceutical processing. This approach and policy encourages local development because Lao Cai has rich sources of temperate medicinal herbs.
Currently, Hoa Thinh Hung Co., Ltd has synchronous production lines, including 4,117 square meters of warehouses; and 2,316 square meters of workshops and clean processing rooms that meet ISO 22000:2005, standard yards, wastewater and waste treatment systems. All lie on a more than 1.5-ha campus of well-invested modern facilities. The company also has capable, dedicated employees who are trained to manage and process agricultural products.
Director Nguyen Thi Tuyet Mai added, Hoa Thinh Hung Co., Ltd is ready to cooperate with domestic and foreign partners to plant, process and improve the value of agricultural products and medicinal herbs; provide standard warehouses and workshop areas for logistics and warehouse development firms; and contribute to socioeconomic development of Lao Cai province.
