Despite facing many difficulties, with the efforts of service providers and the initiative and positivity of authorities at all levels, postal, telecommunications, and information technology activities have met the requirements of people and businesses in Phu Yen, Mr. Tran Thanh Hung, Director of Phu Yen Department of Information and Communications, said in an interview with Vietnam Business Forum on this issue.

The signing ceremony of the cooperation program between the Government Portal and the People's Committee of Phu Yen province

In your opinion, how has the development of infrastructure and postal, telecommunications and IT services in Phu Yen met the needs of people and businesses, especially serving investors in the area?

Up to now, the postal, telecommunications and IT infrastructure in the province is basically ready to meet the requirements of people and businesses. Investors in need can contact service providers. The Department will also be ready to provide maximum support to best meet the requirements of investors.

What do you think about the application of IT, the digital transformation process of enterprises in the area, what are the "bottlenecks" that need to be removed soon? How will the promulgation of Plan 68/KH-UBND by the Provincial People's Committee on March 25, 2022 contribute to clearing the above bottleneck?

Recently, Phu Yen enterprises have actively applied IT in their operations, especially in business management. The number of enterprises participating in the field of digital technology accounts for a relatively high rate, over 24%. Digital transformation in enterprises is approaching from many directions such as: digital platform enterprises, state agencies and industry associations.

However, the biggest bottleneck is still awareness among heads of units and local digital transformation support teams. Plan 68/KH-UBND dated March 25, 2022 has clarified the responsibilities of agencies in coordinating to support enterprises, opening up a way to widely implement digital transformation of enterprises.

In order to contribute to improving competitiveness, improving the administrative reform index, and improving the province's business and investment environment, over the past time, which solutions and activities has the Department been advising and implementing?

Recently, the provincial Department of Information and Communications has focused on advising the basic improvement of e-government. Thereby, it will contribute to modernizing the administrative system; promoting information transparency and improving business investment environment.

The programe on digital transformation of Phu Yen to 2025 with orientation to 2030 was issued in the context that all sectors and localities have been drastically implementing and achieving initial results. From the perspective of an advisory body, could you tell us the significance of the implementation of the programe to the process of promoting economic growth and attracting investment? How can this great policy soon come to life?

The programe on digital transformation of Phu Yen province to 2025, with a vision to 2030, will accelerate the digital transformation of the entire political system, making it a driving force for faster economic growth, and transparency of the investment and business environment.

In particular, in the context that the country's digital transformation is moving rapidly, the programe will contribute to promoting sectors and levels interested in implementing tasks quickly and in depth.

Thank you very much!
