2019 marked the 35th founding anniversary of Chu Se Rubber Co., Ltd. Since its inception, experiencing many twists and turns, the company has always successfully completed its assigned tasks and actively contributed to local socioeconomic development.
Chu Se Rubber Co., Ltd, established in 1984, is a member of Vietnam Rubber Industry Group. The company is currently managing more than 8,000 ha of rubber trees, including 5,000 ha of commercial rubber trees and 3,000 ha of replaced trees. The firm harvested 136,000 tons of latex from 1992 to 2018. In 15 years from 2004 to 2018, it tapped 106,000 tons of latex, earned total revenue of VND5,237 billion and pretax profit of VND1,528 billion, paid VND504 billion to the State coffers; and donated VND39 billion to social security. In 2010 and 2011, Chu Se Rubber Co., Ltd had up to 2,600 employees.
In 2009, responding to policies of the Governments of Vietnam and Cambodia on rubber development and production cooperation in Cambodia and implementing the business and production plan assigned by VRG, Chu Se Rubber Co., Ltd pooled capital to establish Chu Se - Kampong Thom Rubber Joint Stock Company. By 2014, the company completed planting 16,286.68 ha of rubber trees. In 2019, it tapped latex on 8,670.29 ha, harvesting 11,100 tons.
Speaking of the key to these successes, Mr. Pham Duy Muon, General Director of Chu Se Rubber Co., Ltd, said that the company’s employees always work hard and unite under the leadership of the Party Committee, the Board of Members and the Board of Management. In addition to efforts of all employees, the company always receives close guidance of Vietnam Rubber Industry Group and the close coordination and dedicated assistance of local authorities at all levels. In business, the firm always effectively manages investment, with many solutions to reduce costs, improve crop productivity, labor productivity and crop diversity, and improve the efficiency of land use. It makes the most of other funding sources to stabilize business operations and ensure income and living standards for employees.
Despite many important achievements, in the current context of deepening international integration and higher market challenges, the company has to adopt more sustainable development solutions. According to General Director Muon, in addition to intensive rubber production and business, productivity improvement and investment management, the company will upgrade technology, raise quality and diversify products to meet market requirements, maintain the brand name, expand domestic and foreign consumption markets, and increase exports.
Furthermore, to carry out policies of the Vietnam Rubber Industry Group, in the coming time, Chu Se Rubber Co., Ltd will expand into some new business areas to adapt to the market economy, for example, investing in infrastructure in Nam Pleiku Industrial Park (200 - 300 ha); changing crops in an area of 332 ha at an altitude of 700 meters, near to water sources, for high-tech agricultural development; strengthening good rubber business management at Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber Joint Stock Company, Cambodia, and quickly deploying Nam Pleiku Industrial Park.
Muon added that, to improve business performance, labor productivity and competitiveness, Chu Se Rubber Co., Ltd, will accelerate scientific and technological application to production to increase productivity, apply ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 17025:2005 quality management systems to make high-quality products for domestic and foreign customers. The company will also apply information technology to administration to reduce working time for employees.
