Dien Bien Water Supply Construction Co., Ltd produces and supplies clean water for daily livelihood of local people and production activities of enterprises in Dien Bien Phu City and district urban zones. At present, the company serves 16,662 households. In Dien Bien Phu City alone, it supplies about 11,500 cubic metres of tap water a day.
Deputy Director Pham Quang Tuan said the company must have good infrastructure conditions to produce and supply water to customers around the clock. Hence, it proactively uses capital accrued from depreciation costs to upgrade and restore basic items like Ban Phu water supply station with an hourly capacity of 15 cubic metres in Noong Het commune, and Dien Bien district and Tua Chau water plant with an hourly output of 2,000 cubic metres. In addition, to meet the water demand in the resettlement zone for Son La Hydropower plant, it installed a second-grade water supply system for 533 households in Nam Can resettlement zone, 146 households in Doi Cao resettlement zone, and many households in Co Khi, Chi Luong and Ban Bac 1 areas. Muong Ang water supply station still ensures water supply for residents in Muong Ang district.
In 2010, the company had 620 new customers in Dien Bien Phu City, 31 new customers in Muong Ang district, and 23 new customers in Ban Phu area. It upgraded and installed water metres for residents and organisations in Muong Nhe district, and built new water supply facilities in Dien Bien Phu City, particularly the 1,000 cubic metre water tank.
In 2011, the company has set up operating plans with the highest priority given to safe operation of the system, effective business performance and capital preservation. It aims to earn total revenue of VND15.84 billion in the year. It is also improving the water supply services.
